Dell Force10 10GBase-T Data Center and Network Products
Force10 Networks is part of Dell's global networking group delivering data center-, enterprise level- and service provider-quality switches to fit a multitude of needs. By virtualizing and automating Ethernet networks, Force10 high-performance solutions deliver new economics.
The Z9000-High Availability and Even Higher Performance
The Z9000 is advertised as a distributed core 10/40GBase-T Ethernet switch for the enterprise network or the data center. The 2U form factor delivers 32 wire-speed RJ45 (QSFP+) ports. It has an RJ45 management/console port with RS232 signaling for control, as well as an RJ45 10/100/1000Base-T management port, 1 each USB 2.0 type A storage and console ports.
Dell Force10 E-Series Switches
The E-Series switch family encompasses three models, the E1200i, the E300, and E600i switches. All offer multiple configurations for data centers and cloud networks. The E-Series switches are chassis switch designs with the E1200i featuring up to 14 blade I/O slots, the E600i having up to 7, both of them being virtualized. The E300 supports up to eight 10GBase-T Ethernet ports per line card slot and up to six line card slots per chassis. All of these models provide line speed, non-blocking performance.
Force10 C-Series Resilient Chassis-Based Switches
Force10's C-Series chassis-based routers include the C150 and the C300, with the C150 being a 9RU chassis and the C300 being a 13RU chassis. Both offer high density Gigabit Ethernet ports and up to 64 line-rate 10GbE ports with pluggable XFP modules. They both offer a full suite of access control, security, and wiring-closet edge features, with VirtualView allowing real-time application and network monitoring.
S-Series Managed Switches: Scalability Personified
The S-Series switches encompass a family of 1RU and 2RU form factor switches that offer PoE, scalability, and unsurpassed management capabilities. The S2410 is a 10GBase-T Ethernet solution that offers high-performance for data centers and storage/server aggregation.
The S25N and S50N are edge switches in 2RU form factor that offer 1/10GBase-T Ethernet aggregation that can deliver the lowest overall total cost of ownership.
The S4810 delivers 10/40Gbase-T performance in a 1RU form factor delivering 48 dual-speed ports and four 40GbE uplinks for enhanced scalability. Using breakout cables, it will support up to 64 10 GBase-T Ethernet ports.
Dell Force10 also offers the Traverse line of Multiservice Transport switches, delivering reliability and performance to multiservice transport networks.
The full lineup of Dell Force10 switching solutions that deliver 10GBase-T Ethernet capability is too large to be able to do it all justice in a single page. Maybe it's time to contact a vendor and get more information.
